Lake Harriet Spiritual Community offers a wide variety of ongoing and special events. We’re an open community center and most events are public and open to new participants. LHSC membership is not required to attend events or to rent space at LHSC. Please check the Events Calendar for our current event schedule and details.

The Circle is an ancient and universal symbol of unity, wholeness, infinity, the goddess, and female power. To earth-centered religions throughout history, as well as many contemporary pagans, it represents the feminine spirit or force, the cosmos or a spiritualized Mother Earth, and a sacred space. An LHSC circle is an ongoing group coordinated by three LHSC members and created to serve specific community needs or to explore specialized interests of participants. Contact Us for a circle application if you are a member of LHSC and are interested in starting a new circle. Circle applications need to receive approval from the Coordinating Council.

AA Big Book Meeting: Foundation Stone

ABA 12 Step Group

Anorexics and Bulimics Anonymous (ABA) is a fellowship of individuals whose primary purpose is to find and maintain “sobriety” in our eating practices, and to help others gain sobriety. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop unhealthy eating practices. We meet each Wednesday at 6:00pm. Contact: Contact Justyn at 612-875-1391.

All Nations Drumming Circle

Drumming with Intention for healing, releasing, children and specific intentions. Bring your drum or use ours. We meet at 7:00pm each Friday, but at 6:30pm on the 2nd Fridays of the winter months to accommodate the Cinema Circle. Contact: Deb Calph at 612-729-0070.

The Art of Spiritual Peacemaking

Is there anyone among us who does not desire a peaceful heart? Could it be possible to sustain peace inside while every facet of the news media seems to continually report horrendous events? Bashar Cinema Night

Bashar is a multi-dimensional being who speaks through channel Darryl Anka from what we perceive as the future. Bashar explores a wide-range of subjects with great insight, humor and a profound understanding of how reality creation occurs. We meet at 7:30pm on the 1st Thursday of the month. Children’s Circle

The program includes fun activities for our children and guidance honoring various religions and general sacred spiritual principles. Through talk and play the children learn a small spiritual lesson. Come play with us! We meet at 10:30am each Sunday during the Celebration Service.

Cinema Circle

Enjoy a movie & some popcorn with your community. We meet the 2nd Friday of the month. Contact: Gary Perisian.

Community Prayer Circle

Conversations with Gary

Are you experiencing change in your life, are the old ways no longer working for you, or are you looking for more meaning? Would you like to learn how to reduce stress, attract to you a partner, friends, intimacy, financial security, freedom, peace, health, Love, and the power to live as you choose? We will hold open discussions on how various teachings pertain to the events in our lives, and how we might implement the principles. We meet at 7:00pm on the 4th Thursday of the month. Cross Quarter Circle

We plan and facilitate the Cross Quarter celebrations: Imbolc, Beltane, Lughnasadh (Lammas) and Samhain (Halloween). We meet the two Thursdays before the event to plan. Please join to help plan. Contact: Steven Johnson.

MSP Meetup Mingle Potluck & Game Night

Join our ever-expanding group for a fun evening of socializing, games, and eating… three of our favorite things! Oneness Blessing

The Oneness Blessings are a transference of divine, intelligent energy. This process works by creating a neurobiological shift in the brain and awakening the energy centers (chakras) in the body. We meet from 7:00-9:00pm every Tuesday. Contact Jeremiah Rangel.

Peace Performing Arts Circle

We teach and spread the tools of peacemaking via the performing arts and provide peace artists for Sunday services. We meet periodically according to project work. Contact: Carol McCormick.

The Practice Circle

The Practice is a great place to come together to share experiences, ask questions and be guided by a group of like minded souls. From 7:00-8:00pm we focus on such topics as psychic, mediumship, ghosts, Angels, Guides, intuition, healing, etc. From 8:00-9:00pm everyone has the opportunity, if they desire, to practice their gifts. Anyone present can ask a question and those who wish to practice their skills can give a reading. We meet from 7:00-9:00pm on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month. 16-Step Sobriety Circle

Choosing a life of sobriety though use of the 16 Steps… we grow in awareness that we are interrelated to all things and contribute to restoring peace and balance on the planet. We meet at 7:00pm each Monday. Contact: Alice-Lynne Olson.

Spiritual Discussion Group

This is an informal group to assist you in listening, discussing, exploring, clarifying, and discovering with others. We meet from 7:00-8:30pm each Wednesday. Contact: Lou Longmire.

Starseed Circle

This circle will serve to help awaken Starseeds and distribute information as groundwork for the 2012 turning of the ages and beyond. Events will be centered around energy work/meditation, movies and books that help awaken humans to their psychic potential, and contact with Star Visitors. This will be an on-going Circle which honors the path of the Stars and provides a means to focus the energy. We meet at 7:00pm on the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Thursdays of the month. Teaching Session with Leonard Jacobson

These sessions are an opportunity to come together as a community with Leonard Jacobson. Leonard teaches a way of awakening that is simple, clear and profound. Each evening is unique as Leonard responds to those in attendance. In each session, participants open into the deepest level of Presence and Oneness. We meet from 7:00-9:00pm each Tuesday.
